For all of our World Leaders that they may be guided by the Lord and make ethical decisions to bring about World Peace and end hunger, all violence and terrorism, poverty and loss of innocent lives. Richard Valdez Brother Paul I would like you to continue to pray for my mom she lost my brother here and a half ago to suicide she's having a hard time who is my younger brother in there real close my brother had a bad marriage between is Anthony Valdez my mom and Stella Valdez they lived in Cheyenne,wyoming I moved from Albuquerque to come and take care of her we go to the cemetery every day just seen my brother is. And my mom cries every day thank you thanks for having this prayer request it helps a lot? BrotherPaul Ofh Richard... we have been praying with you for your mom and your entire family. It is important for all of us to allow ourselves "feel our feelings" during the grieving process... It can take a long time to heal. You might want to suggest that you and your mom go to a grieving counselor together... if you contact the mortuary who helped bury your brother, or the Diocese, they may be able to recommend someone who is a specialist. It may be helpful to contact the counselor beforehand to see what programs they have available (individual and group sessions etc.) so you can explain it to your mom when you bring up the topic. You can say, "Mom, I've decided I need some help with Anthony's passing so I'm going to a counselor to help me with my feelings... Will you go with me for support? I think it can help both of us. There is a meeting tomorrow night I want to attend." If visiting the cemetery each day is comforting to your mother, then I would say it ok to go, but if it is a source of pain, I would suggest going less often, perhaps after or before Mass on Sundays. Please be assured of our prayers... my heart is heavy for the loss your mom carries. In these times, Our Mother of Perpetual Help is who I turn to...
